The following messages were preached to a group of pastors and leaders from the Philippines at a TFI Leadership Training in Baguio, Philippines.
Session 1 - The Gospel Of The Kingdom
The Gospel of the Kingdom is the Gospel of God’s Son, and it must be proclaimed with power, passion, and simplicity. In this message, Pastor Don Leavell, as one who has a mandate from God to reshape the Church, calls us to bring Christ back into the center of the Church by preaching the Christ-centered Gospel.
Session 2 - Carriers Of His Presence
„And the children of the Levites bore the ark of God on their shoulders, by its poles, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the Lord“ (1 Chronicles 15:15).
In this message, Pastor Don Leavell calls us to see that the invincible Church that Jesus Christ is building is not built on worldly, man-made models. The presence of the Lord can never be carried on man's constructs but on the shoulders of God's people.
Session 3 - Jesus, The Lamb Of God
Jesus was born defenseless, and from birth He was required to live as a lamb totally dependent on the Father that the power of the One who sent Him could be seen. In this message, Pastor Don Leavell calls us to give up our carnal weapons thus embracing the defenseless life of our Savior and therefore see the power of God at work.
Session 4 - The Nature Of A Lamb
A lamb is a gentle animal. It cannot outrun the wolf, but it must be totally dependent on the shepherd. In this message, Pastor Don Leavell weaves different stories from the Bible into his message to show the lamblike nature of our Savior. He shows us the power and glory of God that is manifested through this lamblike nature. Pastor Don calls us to see that God is sending us not as lions but as sheep among wolves to change the world.
Session 5 - Christ, The Shepherd Lamb
„For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters“ (Revelation 7:17).
God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise. He has chosen weak things to shame the things which are mighty. He has chosen defenseless things to show His glory. In this message, Pastor Don Leavell shows us that our Shepherd is a Lamb who Himself was shepherded by God. The life we now have in us is the Shepherd Lamb manifesting in every single part of our lives.
