THE SUPPLY OF THE SPIRIT OF JESUS CHRIST Pt.1

Don Leavell Blog, Truth to Live By

For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through
your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:19).

My hope and prayer for you is that you come into the full realization of what the Father has done for you through Jesus Christ, and that your response to life situations will always be pleasing to God, that you not be controlled by self-pity but walk in the victory God has provided in His Son.

It is very clear to the apostle Paul that “Some indeed preach Christ […] from envy and strife […] some also from goodwill: The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the Gospel. What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and in this I rejoice, yes, and will rejoice” (Philippians 1:15-18). Paul chose to rejoice rather than complain. His response is, “For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:19). The apostle Paul refuses to allow his condition of imprisonment and wrongly motivated people to dictate his response. Paul chose to rejoice rather than complain. The key to his victory and yours is to know that God has given you the full supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the wellspring of Life!

He remained confident even in the midst of unfavorable circumstances. May you do the same also! The Father, through His infinite wisdom has provided an infinite enablement to every believer; it is called, “the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.” Through the Spirit, the apostle Paul was able to defend the Gospel using words far superior to human wisdom. God promises the same ability to us when He says through the apostle, “and my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).
